Recently installed the Power Update for Website X5 v15 but now my webiste file is defaulting to an older version? This means unable to update website to internet, as the version there is the latest and do not wish to lose that content? Graham

Download latest version from your profile, top right pulldown, next to your name. (download) also your licence is there if needed (licence)
Install that one, it should give you a new icon with the latest version.

No this didn't work, the website is not the last version that was loaded to internet!

Just to be clear the Website file in the software is now not the latest version but an older version-the one loaded via our hosting company is the latest and so cannot now update without losing all those changes-something has gone wrong with the Power Update, which appears to have deleted the wrong versions?
What version do you have then? On the download there is always the newest, you also have 15.02 in you portal, that is the latest!
Can you make a screenshot of what you mean?
At startup of x5 you see the version and in help (about website x5) you see the version, that should be 15.02. the latest.

Andre, thanks but not sure you have understood, it's not the software version but the version of our created website. The Power Update appears to have over-ridden the latest copy of actual website and now holds a copy of an older version of our actual website loaded on our hosting platform?
Hi Graham,
can you please explain step by step what you did when importing from the previous version and possibly post the screenshot of the error message you get?
Thanks! Kind regards.
Graham, is it possible you used an iwzip of your project created before the more recent updates to the site?
If so, simply open the old project (not optimised), export to create a new iwzip, then optimise the new iwzip then upload the NEW optimised project to your host.

Elisa,
We recieved the Power Update e-mail from Incomedia and installed into our existing Evolution software, after which the existing project file was not the last uploaded to our hosting provider, ie: the update seems to have removed the wrong files? We have a created website file now on our computer with a version created back in January 2018 and it should be one created in March 2018 so that when you preview the file before uploading to the internet what is going to be uploaed is not the copy that is currently loaded on the internet but one created two months ago so cannot do further updates to our site?
Thanks for your help but can't send a screenshot as it is not a system error but a software update issue.
I suppose the question I have is can I find a copy of the files previously created before putting on the Power Update?
All the best,
Graham

Eshac,
As far as I am aware, we do not use iwzip files unless this is a software default, as we merely make changes to the prohect and complete the upload straight from the software? If you are saying it is a default then where do I find the iwzip files?
Thanks,
Graham

Screen shot of current file which shows as 26/1/18, whereas should show as early March 2018 and would appear the files are iwzip!
Graham, the power upgrade does not overwrite any files, it is just a new version of the program.
The correct way to upgrade from v14 to v15 is/was to export from v14 (step 5 export, export project), and then open v15 and import the v14 iwzip.
The project directory (by default) for v15 is now documents/Incomedia/Website X5 - Evolution (it is yet to be explained why the nomenclature has changed and the version dropped)
(the default project directory for v14 was documents/Incomedia/Website X5 v14 - Evolution)
If you are using the built in FTP engine in v15 I cannot imagine that there could be a problem, but if you are using a 3rd party FTP engine (eg Filezilla), then is it possible that the source directory is still pointed at the old v14 output directory?
BTW In your clip above, the files are iwzip files (turn on file types in explorer)
Does the above shed any light on the problem?
Dear Grahm,
as Esahc correctly said, version 15 do not overwrite version 14 files. In fact, if your version 14 is still installed, you simply need to start the program, open the version 14 projects, go to Step 5 and select the option "Export the Project". Then, you will simply need to start version 15, click on import and select the iwzip file you have previously generated.
As Esahc mentioned, the files you show in the screenshot are iwzip files.
Thanks! Kind regards.
