Are there any examples of new blog post Evolution 11

I have bought several versions of WebSite X5 over the years and the last incarnation I bought was version 11.
I was let down by the blog up to version 11 as it is extremely basic and had been using Wordpress to fulfill the requirement.
However, I have read that post Evolution 11, the blog is now more structured and has defined areas.
Before I splash out and buy the latest version, are there any sites which use the "inbuilt" blog that might be shared and I can look at please.
Many thanks in advance,
Stephen Bowden

Stephen, the best way to evaluate the blog section is to download and run the trial version, although on the few sites I have developed with blogs I have found it best to embed a 3rd party solution unless the person for whom I am developing the site also owns WX5.

Many thanks indeed Esahc - I hadn't looked at it in that way - regarding users requiring WX5 to edit and create. While Wordpress looks great, I found it a bit overkill for my needs. All I wanted is maybe 5 or 6 different areas with a separate thread on each. One I could still upload photos with permissions for others to comment. I will do as you suggest and do a separate install of the Trial version and see what that offers.
I am guessing (though very happy to be proved wrong) that noone reading this thread is using the WX5 blog in the latest version and resorting to 3rd party solutions. A shame if so, it would be super to have an all-in-one solution.
Thanks again Esahc

Hi Steve,
I am using the Blog in V16 right now. I have used it right from around v10, through to 15 also. My requirements are not so varied as yours, I have to say. My Blog layout is very basic. V15 onwards allowed people to post comments on the Blog (your webhosting must support this) but so far nobody (except myself, to test the function) has actually done so! I am not a regular poster of comments in my Blog, so that's probably why....they give up waiting for a new post!
Anyway, take a look at mine (on my site www.smashthatcomputer.com) and see if this is of any use to you.

Stephen, I do have a blog on my site, but sadly it is a bit neglected www.esahc.com
In the past I have simply embedded blogger on sites so the site owner can post and update without needing WX5 (& since they will have a gmail account to access blogger, I also add a calendar they can update as needed for up-coming events).

Hi Wayne,
Many thanks indeed, that was exactly what I was wanting to see. I had heard about a "side bar" on the main X5 page but surprisingly they do not show any examples. Perhaps it is still a "work in progress". Maybe a few more software updates from now a shame as updating this software becomes expensive after several years ;)

Thanks also Esahc - both your blogs have provided me with enough info for now :)
I will wait to hear if the developers have any comment for a future revamp and keep reading the forums.
Best wishes,
Steve
