I have a CONTACT FORM in a website built with Evolution V14 which works perfect.
I have another website with a CONTACT FORM built with Evolution 16 and the form will not send out email from customer or acknowledge to me that a form has been sent.
Is there a bug in Contact Form for V16?
Thanks

Hi Alan.
Is the website configured in the same way? On the same hosting?
If not, then the reason for this issue you're having is probably in the configuration of the mailing server.
What URL is your website located at?
Can you attach here a couple screenshots that show how you configured the v16 Contact Form Object?
Please keep me posted
Thank you

Hi Stefano,
Just realised that the previous V14 website is a different host to the one I used for V16. Currently I use one.com for domain name and hosting package. One.com uses PHP7 so that should not be a problem.
To test again, I created a new simple website with a Contact Form using V14 and now I find that the Contact Form for even V14 will not send out the email form or acknowledge back. The template that I used is Technology 7 which also has a built in Contact Form. Neither the Contact Form I created or the pre-built Contact Form will work.
The website I created to test the contact form is www.ajcnsw.com/cf14
Attached are some screen shots to see if there is any problem in the set up.
Appreciate any comments you might have to help solve this problem.
Regards
Alan
Hi Alan.
I see. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no difference between an already present contact form in a template and a new one.
The real difference is in the configuration of the Hosting, and the data they provide to configure your Mailing method, as shown in your screenshot.
First of all I would suggest you contact your hosting for this.
Many hostings need you to use an email with a domain which is the same as your website in order to send emails, or they just won't work.
Example:
www.test.com -> *** OK www.test.com -> *** NO OK
This might be different from hosting to hosting, and this is why I suggest you contact them first about this
Let me know what they say, and verify the information you entered following my tip above
Keep me posted

Well done Stefano - you have solved it!
As mentioned I use ONE.COM for my domain and hosting manager.
What I had to do was create a ONE.COM alias email with the option to forward to my preferred address for receiving emails.
Then had to go to the Contact Form Send Object and show my alias email address as the User E-Mail Address.
After doing that the emails from the Contact Form now are received into my preferred email address after being automatically forwarded from the alias.
Bit of a challenge but thanks for your help.
