V16 pro freezing solution  en

This is one answer to the problem of a v.16 professional responsive web site freezing. (I  couldn't work out how to add my answer to a previous question about this problem.) I followed the suggestions given elsewhere - to export the project, re-import it, export it again and reopen it in the free optimiser, but it made no difference. I had added a sixth column on the left of the home page, and then every time I changed something (or possibly tried a preview) it froze. I then deleted the sixth column and it has worked fine since then. The Task Manager shows that when X5 freezes two instances of CefSharpBrowserSubprocess.exe are running. I believe this is third party software that X5 uses to emulate a web browser for previews. Apparently in some circumstances it can't cope with more than 5 columns.

Hi Arnold.

I don't believe that the issue is actually related to the sixth column per se. It might be linked to some content of the specific column, or perhaps by the fact that maybe the column was empty, and the software requires a lot more work to generate a page with many empty cells. That is the reason why it is always suggested to avoid leaving blank unused cells in pages.

It is much better to just fill those with empty text objects instead, or directly remove those if they're unused.

I'm glad to hear you were able to find the issue for you, and we will surely keep an eye out for this

Thank you

Stefano
