Can I somehow make the header (top) slightly wider than the rest of the template, when I change its width in the custom template, everything becomes wider?
I also tried making the top.jpg wider within an editor but the same?

Just a follow up on this, editing the template.css file I have made the header wider, but it isn't centre aligned on the page anymore, it starts in the same place? Please if anyone can help?
Dear Dave, General Settings, go to Edit Template Graphics, click on the Tenth Icon on the top labled (Insert Image), then Click on the Eighth icon on the top labeled (Position and Size), there you can customize, the Width, Height and the position of the Header. Please, note that this can be done only to the custome made headers, and not the already built ones (that already came with Incomedia). Please, check the attached image, for more info, and feel free to ask more questions if needed.
Under General settings*, labeled*.

I'm not sure if I explained it right, I am creating a custom template and when I click on the header from the drop down list and choose it's colour etc...., at the bottom I an select width, but this also takes the footer and page content to the same width?
What am I after is a header 'area' where I can add an image and title which overhangs in width from the page content and footer.
Sorry I'm new to this.
Dear Dave, did you check the image I uploaded?

Yes, I know the picture I add in the header section can be resized, but only to the width of the header section (980px) I just want to increase the header section to 1000px but leave the page section & footer section at 980px
Hi Dave, CEDRO,
you simply set your header width to 1000, then you enter your content image (or you leave it transparent) and you resize your ''inner margins'' by taking off 10 px per side (left and right). If you wish to add an image 980px wide, you need to do it in graphics ( any graphic editor will be ok) and add it.
These are the only tricks you can use, you can not have a different size for your header and content/menu, it has to be all the same.
