What is this for and how important is it for SEO? It seems I must of did something because I don't have it anymore. Can it be re-created and how?

Joe, if you go to step 1, statistics, SEO and code then select the SEO tab you should ensure the sitemap is automatically created
This will create sitemap.xml which is used by google etc.
imsitemap.html was a great feature removed from WX5 in v15 and no longer supported, if it exists in the public home directory of your host it should be removed.

It still makes me very angry that Incomedia removed imsitemap.html generation, I have had to do a great deal of work to overcome this shortcoming and none of my efforts are anywhere near as good as the imsitemap.html feature
As a replacement, we use our own page imsitemap.html, which was constructed from several Menu objects.

Thanks JJ - looks great, but I really liked the simplicity of the simple menu tree showing all levels :-(
I cannot understand the justification for it's removal (even though the footer menu is now largely redundant)

I have already requested many times that this functionality be reintroduced, but so far in vain.
It is an essential feature for sites that require accessibility and is also useful on the SEO side.
I too can't really understand the motivation, for me it was a huge damage and an increased job, free of charge, for the management of an institutional site.
