Publish new site

New to X5, purchased yesterday downloaded and built new site, came to publish and recieved this error message. Did a version update to be same.
It does publish but contact form doesnt work.......

Several features in the software require PHP to be installed on your web server. The Contact Form is one of those features.
Your error message shows that the current version of PHP on your server is 5.6 - this needs to be upgraded to 7.1 (or above) before the advanced features will work correctly.
You can often do this yourself if you have access to your web server's online control panel... look for the option in there.
However, if you are unsure or require assistance then it is best to ask your webhost directly. They should be able to do this on your behalf.

Are you self-hosting?
Check that there are no php.ini files inside local folders which would override global settings.
