SEO TAGS CLARIFICATION  en

Please clarify this section as it appears to me to be questionable.

Title Tag = Search engine title tag for spiders in your source code .. correct?

Website Tag = The tag inserted in Step 1 for the entire website. ... correct?

Title Tag = What we place as the title of a specific webpage ... correct?

Why is there not a choice in the dropdown menu to select the following as H1 & H2 tags

Hi Tag Title Tag
H2 Tag Website Title and or Title Tag

OK SEO experts, I've always been told that SEO rankings are based on individual pages. Is this correct? If yes, so does the current automatic choices make sense.

What does your SEO knowledge say is the best way to automatically set your tags for search engines?

Please advise

Dennis

Andre,

I read those instructions but to put it simply, I want to do this automatically.

In the Page Properties section there is a title tag and a tag title

Tag Title as H1
Isn't this what shows up in the header section of your source code for the search engine spiders?
If not, which item is the H1 tag?

Page Title as H2

Also, why would you use website title for any tags, because Google ranks each page individually by their title tag and contents.

Please advise if I need to be corrected?

Dennis

Hello Dennis,

I assume you have read this article, this is what can be doen in x5.

https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44001790534-how-to-manage-heading-tags

If you want it more or differently then it's best to make an idea post.

Te be honest i leave it all to x5, and most of my pages are ranked high.

On internet there is also a lot of information about these tag's

https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44001790534-how-to-manage-heading-tags

They explain it better then i can here.

still hope this is a bit usefull for you Dennis.

Hello Andre

Yes I have read the article. I'm just looking for an easier way to accomplish what I need. In that article you can change the H1 tag to be the page title, but I want to change the H1 to be the tag title.

In my previous post I asked this question. Please clarify for me.

Tag Title as H1
Isn't the Tag Title what shows up in the header section of your source code for the search engine spiders? If not, which item is the H1 tag?

Thanks

Dennis

The h1 tag is the name for the site, mostly the first name or bigest name in the header.

See that the first title object in your header covers the most of the website/company. That wil be the H1 tag.

Like a book, let's say, harry potter and the Philosopher's Stone, then that would be the H1 tag.

Andre,

I don't agree that is the way google ranks your pages. Each individual page has an H1 tag to show what is important in just that page. It is not beneficial to use the same h1 tag for every webpage.

I ran a bunch of tests because you never answered my question > Tag Title as H1
Isn't the Tag Title what shows up in the header section of your source code for the search engines?

I believe those tags you show in section 2 SEO are just for the sitemap and not for the header section of a webpage and that's what is most important to google rankings.

After testing, come to find out, nothing in X5 enters an H1 or H2 tag into the header section of any webpage correctly. This is what I've been telling you all along, the software is not set up to place an H1 tag automatically in the heading section (source code) of an individual webpage. This is crucial and very search engine friendly.

Also, I tried to circumvent the problem by placing H1 tag into Step 2 SEO > Code Section. I also tried to place H1 tags into the page properties section of each page i> n the expert section.

In BOTH cases, the H1 tag description ended up in the header section of my source code. This is exactly what I needed with one exception. It also placed the H1 tag information above my header at the top of the page in the top above my header image. Like it was in the top background section.

You can test this yourself to confirm what I'm saying is true. So back to where I started.

How Do I Place An H1 Tag after the opening header tag so that it shows up in the header section of my source code for Google ONLY! and not somewhere else.

I want to open up a tech ticket for your techs to test this and optimize the application for SEO accuracy as mentioned above.

Please help and please advise

Thanks

Dennis

Sorry,
I did not state it clearly, and i focussed on the main page, every other page the H1 tag adapts the text that is mainly used on that page, but it also depends on what you set in in step1 advanced tab and then SEO TAB.

I use option 3 where the page title and website name is taken for H1 or if no page title is set in step 3, the menu title.

Anyway you can leave it and let x5 do his work, getting high in an index is setting up everything as good as possible but also links on your pages, your menu naming and patience is needed.

A good menu helps and in step3 (properties) page title and descripption also.

see here for more info on how x5 hendles H1 and SEO.

Andre,

Thank you, this makes much more sense to me. But the problem still remains. No matter what options you choose, the fact remains that there is no H1 tag listed in the source code of your webpage.

Go to your webpages, other than the home page and right click and view source code. Do you see an H1 tag in your header section? According to my test runs they do not appear. So you can't tell Google what you choose as your H1 tags.

Please advise, and please, a yes or no answer to my question.

Again, is there a way to get an H1 tag in all your webpages source codes by using X5 Pro?

Please confirm with a yes or no answer. If yes, show me how. If no, then tell me so.

If no, that is a big problem that needs to fixed by your tech people.

Andre, the attached image illustrates that there is tag managemnent for our heading section. That means heading section in our source code for all of our webpages for Google to find our HI thru H6 tags.

But in reality, no H1 - H6 tags show up in the header section of our source code for Google to see or spider.

It is one of the most important aspects of SEO in addition to backlinks.

This is a major SEO failing that needs to be corrected.

Please advise

Dennis

HI DENNIS S.

Set H1..H6 for the template headings.

If you do not check the box, you will not put it in the codec and the H1 tag will not be placed in the codec. Only the formatting of the text is realized!

Dennis,

Antal has givin you an answer to your last post.

Again, is there a way to get an H1 tag in all your webpages source codes by using X5 Pro? -> yes

let me help you differently.

I made a brand new (empty) test project. Website tiltle step1 is: test project tags

I set page properties like this for a page:

The H1 tag will be if H1 for Website Heading and H2 for Page title: is set (standard on)

The H1 tag wil be: -h1 pagetitle andre e - test project tags h1-

*********************************************************************

If i don't set manualy any options, but just rename my page to: renamend page

then this becomes the H1 tag:  -h1 renamend page - test project tags h1-

So if you set standard settings in CEO and manage your page names good you will get good H1 tags and you do not need to do more work, but if you want you can fine tune in the properties of each page (step 3 properties button)

Hope it's more clear now....

Dennis to help you out with the other H1-h6 tags question:

You need to set this all manualy. I will show you how, but just follow my advice in my previous post this the least trouble and the less manual work.

If you want to see other tag's you need set them manualy, this can only be done in a few objects like, text or table object's or title object, just look for Heading tag in objects for this option.

Like so:

Again; Please don't make it hard on yourself, let x5 do his job, just set good menu naming and you will have no trouble at all and good H1 tags !!

And an high google index is not only filled with H1 tag's but also by using links (also from other sites to yours and internally, like your menu does from itself, and menu naming, and setting special tags if needed in the properties button option for that page in step3.

Hope this helps with your other H1..H6 tags

Best Regards

Andre
