Very Slow Performance

I have just recieved Evolution 9, using Version 8 before. And I am very sorry to say, I am not satisfied with this new version. It has some features I missed in Version 8, but it is much slower, less stable and less convinient than version 8. I use a dual core, 4GB Workspace Computer with a gaming grafic card so it cant be a problem of my computer. exept there is a problem with XP. I had to wait almost 40 seconds and more until the program opens features. It was a great step ahead when V8 was released, this version is a poor upgrade of V8. And I have to say I love to work with V8. Hopefully the problems will be solved with the next update.

when you import your projects into your new Evo 9, the program does not simply add the project to it's library, it recreates the entire project from the benning.
Evo 9 translates the Xhtml 1.0 codes produced by Evo 8 into HTML 5 codes. This is the reason why it could take a while at the beginning. If you then change your project template for example, and your project is quite big, it could take a while because it again recreates all the pages, it doesn't simply change them. This is done to make sure the HTML 5 codes are correct and your website is indexed correctly.
Evo 9 has a list of system requirements you need to make sure of:
Minimum requirements:
• Windows™ XP (SP3), Vista, 7
• RAM 512 MB (1 GB recommended)
• Screen resolution at 1024x768
Online publication requirements:
• Windows™, Linux or Unix Server
• PHP 4.x, 5.x (only for certain advanced features).

Thanks for the answer, it is not when I open the projekt or the preview - and yes my projekt is quiet big, but during I use the program for writing for example or while creating the letters for the main banner. It took quite a whil until it opens the feature for example to add a shadow, or for antialease...
I know that X9 has to convert the old files. I work with Evolutionfrom the first version released on.
I dont think it is normal that while typing the sandbox shows...and the letter apear later than they are typed.
I feel very uncomfortable with this version and think I should have waited another while until I bought it.

Oh and I think you havent read my post really, as I wrote I work with 4GB RAM....

yes of course I read your post, I just wanted you to make sure that all the the other options where ok with your computer.
What version of IE are you using? Do you have it?
Do you have framework 3.5 installed on your computer?
The best thing to do is to import your project into Evo 9, save it then customize it, change your template if you wish or enhance it then save it again and start working
on the website, the program will then work quicker.
