Hi everyone
I would like to know
When building a custem payment with Website X5 we use tags to tell the payment portal for example what the amount of the payment is eg. [PRICE]
so is there not a tag that can be used to send info back saying that the payment has been made?
Dose paypal not maybe also use tags in its way of functioning with website x5, maybe there is a tag that they use to tell website x5 that a payment has been made.
Regards, Antonio

Hello. I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.

Hi
I hope someone has not forgoten about this post?
Hello Antonio
Unfortunately, this kind of operation is not as simple as obtaining the [PRICE] tag in the software. PayPal sends a request back to a specific URL when the payment has been completed and the software knows what to do with that data.
Unfortunately, such a possibility is not yet implemented in the software with other systems. For this reason, implementing something like this external would surely require an extensive amount of custom code to be written and inserted into the website to work correctly without guarantee of that.
I'm afraid that as of now, the Staff cannot provide support for such a request
Should you be interested in seeing this made possible with a different Payment method, open up a new Idea topic. The Staff will keep better track of Ideas there
Thank you
Stefano

I want to add an idea that Incomedia should add a payment gateway which will fit 99% of your current and future users: 2checkout. You know them - your webshop use it!
I got a reply from 2checkout IT team just a few minutes ago - and they asked me why you (Incomedia) haven't contact them, because WSX5 is a popular software (they have heard of you) and they are proposing that you should work together to integrate 2checkout into WSX5. They are willing to do it!
The reason I have contacted them is simple: I want to integrate WSX5 with 2checkout so I can finally finish my shop... (after 11 months of waiting for the additional payment gateway and dozens of written posts)
*******
If I put the above as an IDEA - would it really got a company attention... OR I will be wasting my time (for the tenth time)?

Stefano, sorry for the language - but my patience is nearly over.
+1 per Sinisa
+10 per Sinisa,
Stefano, there have been dozens of requests and ideas for other payments systems for years and what is the answer of Incomedia - still "add an (next) idea for it". Please do not promising, just do it!!!

@ Stefano
Thanks for the reply.
I started using Website x5 when I started with my website due to the fact that I was doing something that was a hobby and I did not know anything about coding.
With time my website has grown and I have grown with what my expectations are from my website and from Website X5
So when ever I see how other platforms are able it be customised and plugins are easily being added its disheartening that with a bit of input and hard work I would be able to customize things like a payment functions, the shipping functions and even having the functionality to do drop shipping to make life easier for myself.
My custom payment function that I’m using has got the function to send a URL back just like PayPal
The payment system with Website X5 has been a topic for debate for a long time and it’s not a new idea to anyone, it’s just frustrating that the better I get at working on a website and the more I want that I may have to more over to a other platform to keep moving with the times and my expectations.
The online space has become a very competitive space with everyone wanting to do it and I’m happy with a lot of the new things that you guys have added to Website X5 but competitive side of ecommerce made the requirements very high and ever changing and a person does not want to be left behind.
I think someone from Incomidia must go look at the sites that other people in the Ecommerce space are building in terms functionality on other platforms and it should give you guys an good idea of what we want.
Regards, Antonio
I have the impression that unfortunately we will see these improvements in the e-commerce section with a lot of delay, long times, long wait. The Web runs like a high-speed train, Website X5 instead goes at a snail's pace, it's evident by now.
@ Giuseppe
Esattamente come quello!
Hey guys,
To finish this week my Stripe custom payment with their new Elements component is almost ready.
Payment is ok.... with my prototype.
Not yet implemented into WSX5 !
