Hi, I have asked earlier about the repsonisve behaviour in Row Format - Parallax and I have got this answer from Esahc:

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/es/post/226896

I have a question about this proposition: "Set your parallax image or slide show behind this row".

How can I set something behind or in front of a row?

Now I can't understand.

Thanks Andre this is the way to create parallax effect. The details I was asking earlier and the answer I can't understand is reffering to this explanation from Esahc:

"I create a transparent image (or a single colour image and set that colour transparent) roughly the dimensions of the desktop width and the height required. I then place this as an image in a text object or an image in the image object with the object being full width of page. Set your parallax image or slide show behind this row. As the page gets narrower not just the width changes, but also the depth of the row.

I have attached a transparent image 1024x400px, give it a try :-)"

So it seems that we have a text and an image behind it, so far so clear and this is parallax effect. But Esahc is talking here about another blank png image to be inserted BEHIND. Behind what? How?

The original question was about the behaviour of parallax images in responsive viewports. The viewport is narrowing but the image behind the text is the same and it looks cropped.

Have you seen the help files and video? Did you use the row format buttons to place the image behind the text or picture object.

The rowformat can be set by using the row formats button. Maybe i don't understand but from the above post it gives me a feeling you did not use the row format button to place images or pictures or just plain colour in the backrow.

I am also not sure what you would like to achieve but i have not read the other posts.
I also don't see an attachement, any way hope this already helps.....

Marius, in the original post you asked why the parallax image was not responsive and from this I assumed you had a parallax image that did not resize proportionally. My answer with the transparent image is a trick that can be used to maintain proportions at various resolutions, unfortunately you cannot have text+transparent image (unless you turn the text into an image with a transparent background). My apologies, I did not realise you had text above the image. Your original post indicates you know how to apply a parallax image behind one or many rows so hopefully there is no longer an issue??

Hi Esahc

Yes indeed this was the original question. About  why the parallax image was not responsive. But in order to see the parallax effect you need to have a text there otherwise one can't see the parallax effect - between which objects?

So there is no way to resize in vewports a Row in which you have both text and image. Seems to be odd because the Row itself is like a Div container.

Thank you again!

Marius, in case you ever return to this thread, the example I offered in the previous post does not use the feature/s you requested (it is separate tabbed content in a text box and not parallax)

This example https://esahc.com/parallax has a background image, with parallax. The image proportions are constrained by a transparent image placed in a text box. Because you say you required text to be displayed over the image, I have also provided an example with text as an image.

The project is attached if this interests you (it is created in v16 pro because I believe this is the last "full" version you own)

Good luck - hope you are staying well.
