Forum says Beta since 2020.3.4 cures bugs but unavailable to me...?
Autor: Adrian B.I recently upgraded to 2020.3.4 as its been a while since it was released, and I thought, should be no problem, its been a while, anything critical will be fixed by now....
So I did work on new items in cart.
Then I read forum where there are issues with PDF links and cart with new version - so I have not published the changes.
Forum says issues fixed, just use Beta. I subscribe to Beta by using Activate button (it changes to "Deactivate" - so it must be in activate mode) - when I re-launch X5 there is no prompt to upgrade and when I check for upgrades nothing is available... Also blue box in "2. Install" paragraph says "There is currently no active Preview version. We will release the next Preview version soon. Check back soon!"
Surely all those people on forum who said Beta is available to fix issues are not all lying????? Or maybe it is a hallooween prank?
Am I doing anything wrong, or has the Beta been disabled?
I have 2 X5 licences - both valid - both show in "My Licences"
Preview & Beta shows one Licence (licence ending YYX29) (The one on this PC I assume) and the "Activate/Deactivate" button.
Thank you
Hello. I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.
Hello Adrian,
Version 2020.3.4 was originally a BETA version, and does contain fixes for various issues which came to light after version 2020.3 had been released to the general public.
But 2020.3.4 was itself pushed to the general public a few days ago (22nd October). At that point it ceased to be classed as a BETA, and is instead regarded as a regular update just like any other WebSite X5 update.
So, in short, there is currently no further BETA versions available, but neither should that be necessary, as you are already running the version which contained the cures for the 2020.3 issues - WebSite X5 changelog
Some other issues have come to light (such as problems with Vimeo playback - https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/es/post/233352), and these are to be addressed in a later update.
Kind regards,
Paul

And I have many youtube links as well..... :(
Thank you for the explanation, Adrian
To the best of my knowledge YouTube links aren't affected (despite what the title says in the thread linked to above). YouTube videos continue to open correctly in my own sites, but not Vimeo. I don't think the fix will be long in arriving, Adrian.
The fix for this issue is now available as a BETA update, Adrian:

You can either update within the software itself, or download from the appropriate section of your profile:
