Hello Bill,

To mark a post as the correct one use the 'green tick' icon as shown in the screenshot below:

You'll find those icons in the lower right corner of each post.

If you simply wish to have threads closed without marking them as correct then any one of the Moderators can do this for you...  just let us know which ones, preferably by adding such a request as a post to each thread in question.  This will bump them to the top of the topic list, and hence catch our attention.
