Websitex5 2021.4.4 fails to list any of the blog articles in the sitemap file? This a major issue for SEO.

Hello. You're right, blog posts are not added to the sitemap.
"This a major issue for SEO." - not sure about that. The "blog home page" is in the sitemap. It contains links to blog posts. Google can find these links and index these pages. If the page is not in the sitemap, this does not mean that Google will not be able to index it.
Please provide a link to your site.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that, will look into whether or not it is common practice.
io non ho problemi SEO, con i Blog, nonostante gli articoli non vengano messi nella Sitemap
comunque c'era un post IDEA, tempo fa, che lo richiedeva come opzione aggiuntiva

I'm not sure that is good practice though. I notice that Wordpress posts are included in the sitemap.
ho un blog con una trentina di articoli... sono tutti indicizzati benissimo e google mi ha indicizzato anche in base ai TAG ed alle Categorie...
Qual'è l'indirizzo (url) del Blog dove hai problemi di indicizzazione ?
"I'm not sure that is good practice though. I notice that Wordpress posts are included in the sitemap." - You're right. But the presence of pages in the sitemap is not a guarantee of their indexing.
"Search engines like Google read this file to crawl your site more efficiently.", "Using a sitemap doesn't guarantee that all the items in your sitemap will be crawled and indexed, as Google processes rely on complex algorithms to schedule crawling." (source). Perhaps this will help you not to worry.
Or try this.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I cannot provide that as this is confidential. I can say that most are not indexed.

Yes I agree with you, in that it will not guarantee it. However, it certainly increases the probability, especially for pages further down - your posts may often be at the third level - home->main blog page->post; which from Google's point of view is additional time and resources.
See the article from Google below which lists sitemaps as one of the pieces of information they crawl, along with links to discover pages.
Also worth noting that Google Search Console also requests you submit the sitemap, so I think there must be good reason for this.

From the documentation:

If you want a complete sitemap, try this or similar services. You can do this right now.

Thanks. Unfortunately I find it does not automatically index this, and the URL with sub folder (blog) must be added to Google Search Console as a separate property.
I'm not sure why Websitex5 can't just add this to its future software development roadmap. It shouldn't be too difficult to simply add the blog posts to the sitemap.
I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.
Hello Craig
Due to technical reasons on how they're generated, we've decided not to include the Blog posts and Product pages in the sitemap
However, we've meticulously made sure that these pages would get indexed anyway and they do, based on the fact that Google will crawl the blog and cart index and find all links to the currently configured products
As of now, you shouldn't have any particular issue getting these pages indexed.
That being said, the developers are always looking into ways to improve the SEO results. Should there be any news on this in the future, it will be made known to the entire community
Thank you for your feedback
