Update has ruined file uploads

Before the latest update, 2022.2.4, adding files to my website was simple. Select the picture icon, double click, then press a few keyboard short cuts and I could find the file with ease, or even paste the files I needed into the folder I wanted then select them. Now with the new file upload window, short cuts aren't visible and typing a letter or a number won't jump to the folder I need. It seems like a real backwards step that will increase website updating time significantly. I've tried to reinstall an earlier edition but because I opened the file in the new version then it won't let me.
Please change back to the way it was.
