Can't change picture in parallax (I bought a template)  en

I bought a template. Now I'm trying to change a picture in my contact page. I selected the object (simple separator), than row layout. In background was a picture. I changed it in a picture of my own (perhaps not the right dimensions yet), but now i can't see anything in preview.

Marjolijn, try another picture (preferably roughly the proportions your require) in jpg format. I have a few png files that are invisible when used this way in WX5

If successful then try a different png (or convert png to jpg)

It works on mine :-)

Your screen shot indicates the original is CMYK, I suspect you need an RGB image.

I tried your screenshot and my own document exported in JPG/RGB, still nothing. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong....

Is it possible I'm not using the right size? Or can it be that there are separate layers? I don't understand, because there was a picture from the template visible, I only replaced it by my own. So layers can't be the problem I think. How do I know witch size to choose? I thought 2400 pixels is correct?

I think I've got it..... I saved my picture in the same folder as where the pictures from the templates are. Why is that? All other pictures are saved in my own folder and that works fine.

Someone else is having a similar issue. Are you saying that the only way you could change the picture in the template was to first save the picture in the pictures folder?

If this is the case I would be very surprised because I can retrieve a picture from anywhere and add or change. Were you perhaps typing in the picture name rather than browsing to the location of the picture?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Isahc,

I'm a bit frustrated.

I bought the template SOFTSPACE. Images ares saved in c users admin documents incomedia website x5 pro LCNL preview images.

Yesterday I saved my own logo in the same folder (PNG 28,9 kb named logo-2022-zwart.png). The preview was correct.

Today, as a test, I saved the logo in my own D folder. The logo wasn't visible anymore in te preview.

So, I changed it back into the picture in te C folder, it wasn't visible in the preview.

I tried to put the original logo from the template (softspace) back (from the C folder), it isn't visible anymore.

I tried to change the name from logo 2022 zwart.png    in logo-2022-zwart.png

There is something wrong, because I always worked with Website X5, recently we bought a new version and I started from scratch. I never had such problems to be honest.

I now changed it in a new picture from 4,16 kb (PNG), saved in the C folder and in the D folder.  Both options are not visible in the preview.

Non ho seguito tutto il post, ma leggendo velocemente, penso che tu abbia problemi di accesso alle cartelle dovuto a blocchi su antivirus e firewall

Stai avviando come amministratore il programma Website ? (click col dx, esegui come amministratore)

e prova a disattivare provvisoriamente antivirus e firewall...
