X5 exiting software

when using X5 and selecting preview the page, when exiting the page x5 exit the software to the desk topto the desktop and must be restated???

This usually doesn't happen if you close the preview with one click.
Sometimes, the program closes unexpectedly for me, too.

do you confirm you close the preview window with one click, as Daniel suggested?
Does it happen all the time? If so, you should try to reinstall the software.
