Paypal payment feature for Non Profit org.  en

We are a Non Profit Org.  with only 3 items to sell: Donation, Membership #1 and membership #2. We want to offer Paypal payment. We are creating a brand new website with WebsiteX5. I have 2 questions:

1. In the Product description, is it possible to change the title name of "Product" into "Item"  and how?

2. I installed the object "Donation" and it is fully integrated with our Paypal ecommerce account. It works perfectly well.  However I don't get it with our 2 other "products" membership fees. I created the 2 categories, it takes to the Paypal account where a form needs to be filled and it stops there.

Did anybody meet the same issue? How to complete the process?

Thanks for any help or idea.

Hello,
1) If you are referring to here

it can be changed in Step 1 - Settings ---> General Information ---> Content Language, by looking for the ID called cart_article and changing its default value.
2) Could you provide some additional information to clarify the current setup? Have you added PayPal as a payment method for your website?
Trying to go ahead with the subscription, no option to choose a payment method appeared during checkout.

Thanks for your replies.

Issue # 1 is solved.  Previously I had not seen this small icon in Step 1--> Settings--> Language...  By the way, it is hardly visible when you don't really know where to look at.

Issue #2.  Yes I have added Paypal ecommerce asd a payment method, and I got Paypal confirmation (attachment) . However, during a check out I agree with Eric, it seems it's getting nowhere. I must have missed something. I'm going to redo it from scratch and we'll see. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

Eric,

I think I'm getting close. As we sell only 2 levels of membership, I had not done the settings for the shipping. Now I have added Online Transaction for the shipping and a Paypal payment method. Then I activated the Paypal ecommerce  with Loging In. I mad a test with a personal Paypal payment and It seems it worked fine. However it stopped somewhere in Paypal because the Society was not advised of a received payment and I was not charged.  This being said, I received a Payment confirmation (Attachment) after validating the transaction in the Admin database. Now, 2 things: actual charge not going through, and the confirm shows text that should be corrected (all that is highlighted in the PDF doc). Where should I go to make these corrections?

If I may add something, WebsiteX5 is close to be ideal for Non Profit Orgs like ours, but available instructions are scarce for Online only transactions which do not involve any shipping or even any downloading.  Membership only + donations.  That would be very useful to create a doc specifically designed for Non Profit orgs.

Hello,
you can change some of these aspects in the E-commerce settings, in the Sending Order section, to reflect how your "product" is actually managed.
"Product list" can be changed by editing the default value of the Content ID called cart_product_list in Step 1 - Settings ---> General Information ---> Content Language.

In general, the e-commerce section is not explicitly meant for the purpose of transactions that are donations rather than actual purchased products, and so some adjustments need to be made manually as the predefined settings assume that the purchase is a standard one (such as references to shipping and so on).
I remain available.

Regarding the payment issue, to clarify you arrived at this final step and completed the order, filling in these fields or using PayPal directly?
Did you use the same e-mail/account associated to the PayPal account itself?
I remain available.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your reply.

For a payment test, I went to our website  jaxorchidsociety.org   which has been recently published online.

Home Page scroll down--> click on Become a Member -->click on Go to Membership Online Payment -->click on Add Annual membership Individual--> in the cart click on Proceed with the order--> again click on Proceed with Order--> filled the required form -->clicked on Paypal online-Individual and Next-->clicked on Pay Now

Then I get this message immediately (Attachment)

However nothing happens at Paypal level

Hello,
the screenshot is from the preview mode it seems, did you reach the screen displayed in my reply when trying with the published version, and did you use the same e-mail/account associated to the PayPal account itself?

Good morning,

Following your question, I tested a membership payment with another browser...and it worked. So far, I had tested with the same browser I made the website with. So my issue probably came from the cache and cookies.

Eric, Thank You VERY MUCH for your help.
