Can't load project after upgradeAutor: Tony D.

Applied the upgrade to v9.1 today and now I can't load my project. It worked fine this morning before the upgrade. When I select my project I get a dialogue telling me the software is creating project files and it counts away a percentage on a progress bar for about 2 hours then sticks at 98% - Any ideas?
Do you have your antivirus or firewall active while uploading your website?
Does it give you any kind of error message? Is it the first time you are uploading your website with Evo 9? Is it a new project or had it been created with Evo 8 previously?
Please give me more info!
Hello Samantha, I do have an active firewall but have not yet uploaded this website as it is the project which I am re-building from an Evo 8 version of a few months ago. The post we closed on 5th June (XML file problem input by me on 14th May) where both project & backup files were corrupted is the one in question.
The project has successfully been imported (and converted) into my Evo 9 and I have been adding to it for about 10 days without any issues. I had actually made some updates without any problems that very morning and when an email arrived from incomedia suggesting the free upgrade to the latest version, I did just that.
From this point I have been unable to load my project at all. Upon trying to open the project a dialogue box appears telling me that the software is creating project files and it (slowly) counts up a percentage progress bar which takes about two hours to reach 98% and never gets any further. I've left it for about 6 hours and it never progressed
thank you for explaining so well the issue!
I suggest you download the latest version of the software from the ''download'' section in the top right corner of this page. Delete your previous version and reinstall in order to make sure that the program files are not damaged at all. Then, please open your project and let me know what happens.
Thank you Tony!
Hi Tony and Samantha,
I'm having a similar problem as above. I've reinstalled and redownloaded Evo 9. I've also rebooted the machine too in between uninstalls and reinstalls.
My firewall has never been an issue but just in case I tried to work my project with the firewall disabled. No difference.
I've also tried to export the website and it also is quite slow in comparison to Evo 8. My project was initially created with Evo 7. I had no problems bringing it up to Evo 8. Moving to Evo 9 has been problematic.
good morning! Please open a new post, add your program details in it and screenshots of the issues with futher info. I need to gather all your info together in order to help you more quickly.
I need to know if you receive error messages, i don't understand if you have installed your Evo 9 correctly or not. You need to make sure your system requirements are compatible, please read the following F.A.Q.:
I managed to correct the problem myself. Clearing temporary files and a final reinstall sorted it for me. Sorry to interrupt on Tony's difficulty.
I have just upgraded to version 9 but when I try to open my older version file it says it can't open earlier than version 8 files in 9. I read a thread earlier where you said you would kindly convert the file could you do that for me and give me instructions for what to do please?
Hi I have converted my files from Website X5 V8 to Website V9 evolution ok but the template dose not come accross, so can you tell me the secret to get the template as well. I tried by copying the models directory from V8 into the template directory on V9 but this did not work
@ Gary: Please open a new post and all the info in it. I need to gather all your info together in order to help you more quickly therefore I can not help you in this post.
@ Steven: You need to build your template in the custom template section. Add all the images and set their size. If you have any futher questions, please open a new post, I can not help you here.
Thank you both for understanding!
