Incomedia BURNS Compact 9 Buyers with ASHAMPOO Version!
Autor: Preston M.I am a very unhappy buyer of Compact 9. The FULL Evolution 9 is what I need! But the FULL Evolution 9 was NOT offered as an option UNTIL AFTER buying COMPACT 9. THAT IS VERY WRONG! THAT IS DISHONEST MARKETING!!!
I was about to buy WebPlus X5. But Google search results included a listing for Ashampoo WebSite X5. (Notice the similarity between the names of SERIF WebPlus X5 and WebSite X5?)
Ashampoo does NOT tell COMPACT buyers about EVOLUTION 9. There is no feature comparison chart at Ashampoo. THERE IS NO MENTION OF EVOLUTION 9.
Ashampoo advertising leads buyers to believe that COMPACT is the ONLY version available!
See:https://www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/pin/fremd019/partner-software/WebSite-X5-Compact-9
AFTER BUYING and installing Ashampoo WebSite COMPACT 9, I was made aware of Incomedia WebSite EVOLUTION 9! THAT IS SO VERY WRONG!!!
The FULL Evolution 9 version would serve me MUCH better. BUT NOW I AM ROBBED BY PURCHASING INCOMEDIA'S PRODUCT FROM ASHAMPOO!
I can’t use Incomedia’s EVO 9 upgrade price for ASHAMPOO Compact 9--right?
If the Upgrade path is available, I still miss out on the 30% discount offer shown on your Incomedia site!
Your arrangement with Ashampoo badly treats NEW customers of Incomedia software!
Incomedia YOUR THIRD-PARTY VENDORS SHOULD OFFER THE SAME DEALS OFFERED AT YOUR WEBSITE!!!
If Ashampoo is going to offer Compact 9, Ashampoo should offer Evoution 9 too! Or Ashampoo should at least mention Evolution 9. Incomedia's arrangement with Ashampoo ROBS your NEW customers of the option of buying the WebSite X5 version they need!
Incomedia, YOUR MISTAKE hurt me. You need to correct your mistake by granting my request as follows:
I REQUEST a 30% discount for purchasing the UPGRADE to Evolution 9.
Sincerely, Preston Mitchell VERY Angry NEW Customer
Hello Preston, I read your messages and I would like to answer to your question.
I confirm you that we will contact Ashampoo to better highlight that WebSite X5 Compact is an Incomedia Product. Anyway you can find WebSite X5 Compact in the 'Partner Software' category of Ashampoo website.
Incomedia agrees with Ashampoo to sell only the Compact version, so they promote only it from their Partner Software website. In the same way Incomedia sells Ashampoo software from Incomedia Partners website athttp://www.incomedia.eu/en/third_party_offers.html
If you are interested in WebSite X5 Evolution you can also decide to update from Compact to Evolution, paying just the difference.
If you bought WebSite X5 Compact and you do not need it, you can ask Ashampoo for a refund of the product and get your money back. This is your right.
Let me know if you need further help.

Greetings Steve,
ASHAMPOO WebSite X5 Compact 9 is NOT Ashampoo software? Ha, ha, I invite you to look at Ashampoo's sales brochure for Compact, attached hereto. Does it say Incomedia WebSite X5 Compact? No! Ashampoo's sales material claims Compact as its own! That misleads customers! I purchased directly from the buy button in an Ashampoo email offering ASHAMPOO Compact. My Ashampoo receipt says ASHAMPOO Compact, not Incomedia Compact. STOP MISLEADING CUSTOMERS! Is Incomedia ashamed of claiming ownership of its own software?
You said, "Incomedia agrees with Ashampoo to sell only the Compact version..." What, INCOMEDIA agrees with inconveniencing, misleading, and even torturing its NEW customers?
Come on, let's be honest here.
Evo 9 is a damn fine 'easy' website builder. I know because I tested Serif WebPlus and Xara Web Designer Premium. Evo 9 kicks Serif's and Xara's butts. HOWEVER, COMPACT is nothing more than a 'lite' weight joke--a castrated version of Evo 9!
Actually, Compact is your marketing bait to hook new customers into buying your REAL website builder! WELL, I DON'T APPRECIATE THAT DECEPTION, because you wasted my time with Compact. If your marketing partner had mentioned Evo 9, I would have bought Evo 9 instead of taking the tedious, tortorous route of starting with Compact. Gr-r-r! THAT IS HOW YOUR MARKETING ARRANGEMENT WITH ASHAMPOO MISTREATS YOUR NEW CUSTOMERS. But based on the way Incomedia handles customer support, I can see you don't give a rat's azz about customer service....which is probably why you need a real company like Ashampoo to sell your software!
OK, Evo 9 is an excellent website builder...but it still lacks a few critical features. I can't believe Evo 9 does not offer accordians and tabbed pages! Those are basic features offered by Xara & Serif (in their site software).
In order to do a tabbed page, I will have import code, right? How lame!
Well, I bought Evo 9. So, I am sure you will hear from me again. I hope your forum tech support is as good as your Incomedia web page claims.

LASTLY, how can you say Henrik's reply was helpful? His intention was to rap my knuckles for criticizing Incomedia. In response, I wrote an email that offered strong points refuting his rationale for telling me that I was wrong. Case in point, how the hell does your forum approach to pure customer service issues offer meaningful help? If I have a problem with an order, can some 'community member' fix it? Bah-h! Don't try to pull the wool over my eyes!
Thank you for your reply.
Sincerely, Preston Mitchell
PS: Your system denied my upload of the PDF brochure for ASHAMPOO WebSite X5 Compact.
Hello Preston,
I already answered you about Ashampoo. I also invite you to contact Ashampoo so you can discuss with them about their sales issue.
I also remind you that our support center (Answers) can be used for public or private support. If you just need to contact Incomedia directly you have simply to check the 'Private Post' option. In this way only Incomedia can view the message. In other words is exactly the same as send us an email. This is the reason for why we don't use emails.
The Compact version is very useful for who just want to create a personal website with a blog and without the use of an e-commerce.
Thanks, Steve.
