When the Email Form is inserted and the footer is up close to the bottom of the form.
I am noticing now that when I preview it gives rather a large white space below........
This is approx. 500px in height and the only way to get rid of this white space is to open the form and preview again!! But it's getting annoying now as everytime I go to the page this huge space appears and if I forget and upload it doesn't look very professional!!
I've stopped converting my 60+ projects for now....... but the business cart projects want completing for Xmas!! When are you going to get this V9 working correctly ?

Hi Frank,
Did you use a custom template? Vertical or horizontal menu?
Does this happen everytime you create a long form?
Can you attach a screenshot?
Sorry for all these questions

Just a bog standard webpage with an image, text and an email form.
No scripts, nothing put into the website....... Just keeps doing this of it's own accord?
Hi,
I expierience similar problems with the v9 cart.
Screenshots enclosed. This is the live testing url:
http://www.logo-en-huisstijl-ontwerpen.nl/shop/salades.html
At first the buttons were visible and there was no white spacing in step 3.
After I continued working and making changes to this project, these problems accured.
In a second test the results are good:

Is there any way to fix this?
Hello,
@Frank: I've tried it and if I build a form just like the one you added to your site, I see the same thing (I mean a white space under the form). This is correct as the template has a minimum height. If you use an higher form the white space will become smaller.
If this is not the issue you're meaning, please link here the page containing the problem.
@LogoLogistics: I've seen the attached screenshots. The first is a well known bug already fixed in the current beta. You can test it, if you want, by subscribing to our beta channel at http://beta.websitex5.com . The second problem is not a bug. You just simply have to go to step 4 and enter in the e-commerce cart section. There go to the "Options" tab and change the header text color.
Thank you!

No Claudio that is not the case, it does right itself when I click on the email form and goes back to normal. And the footer is just ½ cm under the image.....
Just uploaded one of my other websites as I ammended my guestbook page and the Welcome page which I did not touch has resized itself ?
I am having to check the whole of my websites everytime I upload!! Not good at all!!
Am waiting for the next update.....

Claudio you have two days to view this URL:
www.franknewsome.co.uk/192ahc2/contact.html
Look at the code because it's supposed to be 5mm from the bottom of the form to the footer.....
Plz post so I can put it right!!!
Hello Frank,
Thanks for the link. I've downloaded it so you can remove that page from your server, if needed. Seems that the calculated form height is uncorrect. I'll check that algorithm and fix it for the stable release.
Thank you!
PS: Can you send me your iwzip file? You can send it to file@answers.websitex5.com typing as subject "To Claudio N.".
Thank you.
Hello Frank, I've received your file. I'll check it as soon as possible. Hope on thursday I'll be able to answer you as on monday I'll be not availalbe here.
Have a nice weekend!
Hi Frank,
I can't reproduce this issue, even using your project. Did you test it with the beta version available on the beta channel?

It's BACK AGAIN......
I'll try to reproduce it here....even if it looks difficult. You said that once you enter and exit from the object the problem is gone, right?

I am using the basic requirements for the website no added scripts anywhere.....
It's X5 barebones!! I'm using Windows 7 64 bit SP 1
When I go into the mail form and click about inside then preview it seems to right itself but I have to check each page before upload which if I had 1000 pages would be a nightmare!!

Am I the only one with this problem?
You will now be blaming it on user error.... well I can tell you I've been using X5 for years and know this program inside out and it's properties..... I've even sent you my project.....
So are you just gonna leave it because you cannot replicate the issue?
You said yourself on the first post of mine you would sort out the algorithm or whatever name you want to call it...... But nothing has changed??
Hello Frank,
I'm still trying to sort out what causes the error. The only problem is that I can't reproduce the error on my PC.
It does not mean that it's a user error. I think it couold be caused by a different version of IE (we use IE to get the form height when we create the html version of the site).
Which version of IE are you using?
What happens if you add a captcha to the form?
Does this issue happen only when the form has an image on its side?
Thank you!

Peter has informed me that the same is happening to his X5 mail form too.....
See attachment Claudio
I've found a similar issue when the accordion menu is used. Is this the case? Are you both using the same kind of menu?
Hello,
I am having problems with the mail form too.
If I insert an image/logo into the mailform option it works fine in a project created from scratch in V9.
If I do exactly the same thing, now in a webshop, converted from v8 to V9, the image does not show. It shows only a x in the respons mail.
How can this be fixed?
Hi LogoLogistics,
Make sure the url of your site at step 1 is correct. If your site is uploaded in a subfolder, make sure you have typed it correctly in your URL too.
