Wesite file disappeared after updating

I have website x5 evolution 9 and I have been working on building my website. When I went into work on the website today, the welcome page said there was an update available, so I clicked on update and both my exisiting project files disappeared
When I open X5 and went to edit my existing project my projects do not appear. I went to import a file and browse, however none of the above files are visible.
I went to Windows Explore I can see the path to the project including iwprj, backup.iwprj, metadata, and the preview and upload files.
What do I do?

Hello Joseph,
Can you tell me the path where you found the project files?
Check if it's the same path like you have in the Preferences window when you start WebSite X5.
