I'm having a problem with text!
I have my website organised to show a number of products on a summary page.
When I need to create another summary page I copy from the first page to a new page.
Obviously I then have to change the images and text on the new page to point at the new products.
When creating a new link for a text item on the new page it will not accept the new link... I can obviously change the text but the new link is not accepted (although it appears to accept it1). On preview it just shows the new text.
I then have to edit the text again and re-enter the link... and this time it works.
It seems that text objects can't be 'over-written' with new link information, at least not at the first attempt!

Hello Barry,
When you edit the link after you copied the object do you use the LINK function in the toolbar to edit it? Or do you only change the text?
Please let me know!

Hi Claudio
I change the text, by placing the cursor alongside the existing text and type my new desciption (I do not use Ctrl+a as this loses some formatting... centred text becomes left-justified... I think this is another minor problem) and then delete any 'old' text.
I then use the link function to link my new text to a new page... but although this appears to work, when I preview the page where the link should be, it is just plain text.
As I said above doing it again makes it work.
Because of this I now just change the text... and do the linking at a later time.
Regards
Barry
Hello Barry,
Can you please try the same procedure on a new project to see if it happens again?
I tryed and it worked normally. If the issue happens also on the new project try to check if you have the most updated version of the program.
Please let me know!
