I have set up a website but can't see where the default directory is or how to change it's location. With multiple drives on my PC that backup to the cloud I need to put the files where I want them.
Have I missed a sub menu somewhere where this can be changed?

Alan,
The page where you start in (called page 0 by many) there you will find yor preferences. Inside is the directory where your projects are kept. (project folder)

Thanks Andre
I have managed to find the folder, but I can't move the location to a different location (a Google Drive backup file). Even if I copy and paste the file to a new place you can't open it with the programme as it won't let you...
Does anyone else know how to move a project file to a preferred folder?
Setting for project folder:
Now then
C:\Websites\Projectfolder1 (with all folders and files)
C:\Websites\Projectfolder2 (with all folders and files)
....
Alan,
Is X5 if you move the folder closed ? (I think it needs to be) Otherwise,
you can always backup your projects in page5 export project to any place you wish.

Many thanks again for your replies! Little-Key, I think you may be using an older version than me, as I could not find that menu in Evolution 9. I did resolve the problem, but it took a little time. This is how I did it in Evolution 9:
1: Open the project you want to move and then chose the "export" option.
2: Export the file to a folder of your choice and re-name it.
3: Go back to the "Project Selection" window and choose "Import".
4: Select the file you have just exported and then, in the "Copy all the Project linked files in this folder" choose the folder where you want your website to be saved.
5: Once this new exported file has been created you can delete the old original project.
Your website should now be in the location you want it to be!
Alan,
Glad that things worked out.
The menu L-K mentioned is from Evolution V9, that's is the same i meant in my first post. Your solution i mentioned is in my second post only a little shorter.
The main directory for your projects you can find in the preferences. This is the sub menu L-K shows you. You can access this by starting X5 and got to your preferences. See attached file.

Thanks for that Andre - I think I was too quick to click the "start" button and hadn't noticed the preferences option...
Your help's much appreciated - Happy New Year!
