Unending loop in audio files

I am very disappointed with Website X5's implementation of the audio widget. Audio files just keep on looping after playing back. This has been a problem since the earlier versions, why did version 10 not address it? Please give me a concrete solution to this problem. Thank you.

I use Evolution version 10 and I don't seem to suffer from the problem you describe. I convert any audio files to MP4 format as recommended by Incomedia, and set a link for them to open in a pop-up window. When the window opens the file plays once and then stops. I have not customised the code in any way.

I can try that, but what application can I use for that? Can you recommend something for both Windows and Mac?

I converted the .mp3 files to .m4a and used them as video files, then published the site. However as the page loads in my browser, the QuickTime logo appears in each window where each file is placed. The problem is that the logo stays there for a few minutes before it goes away and only then are the playback controls shown. You wouldn't want to wait that long...

And the video playback controls are so tiny! I much prefer the playback controls of audio files.
