Unable to connect to server generic error

Hi i am having a problem uploading site it was working 3 days ago but now when i try to update the site i am given this error"Unable to connect to server generic error"...i have disabled firewall etc and ftp details user name and password are correct, any help?? cheers evo 9 user

Hello Ross,
Possibly a temporary problem with your server?
Can you connect to your server using a third-party program, e.g. FTP/FileZilla?

Yeah im hoping that, i tried connect via filezilla and couldnt get a connection either, iv put in a ticket with my hosting company so just awaiting their response
