How do I do these...?  en

Hello,

How do I do these:

1. I would like to have a site to be used as a place to publish other website projects I am working on for friends, family or potential clients. That person would have to log in my site in order to view their site and edit their pages. The only way they can view and edit their site is if they are logged in my site.

That way, it is online so they can view/edit but not yet available to the public.  When work is completed, I can then publish it with their own domain and their host.

How do I do this?  What other alternatives do I have?

2. The 2nd part is, after they have edited their pages, can I and how do I "download" their edited project into my computer so I can do more editing/changes?

This scenario may repeat several times until they are satisfied with the work.  Then publish it with their own domain and host.

Thanks for your help.

Sam

Hello Sam,

WebSite X5 allows only to edit pages when you have the program installed and the project file. These cannot be changed online.

The only way would be to show them the project by password protecting the pages with the program and then uploading them on a subdomain so they can check it and tell you what they want to change and then you do it for them.

Please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Hello Claudio,

Does this mean then that once published, the only way to make changes to content is to do them in my computer then republish them every time?

If this is so, any plans to allow online editing of pages in the future?

Thanks again,

Sam

Hello Sam,

Yes you will need to republish the updated content with the program.

I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.

Many thanks!
