SPAM in Guestbook: not normal anymore ...  en

Please WebsiteX5 team, find a solution for the spam in the guestbooks ...

It's crazy. From the 225 messages there are only 18 good.

That Captcha thing doesn't work. There's nothing wrong with the hosting but there's something wrong with your security.

Hello David,

Please download the attachment and unzip it. You will have a file called x5engine.php which needs to be moved in

C:\Program Files\WebSite X5 v10 - Evolution\Res

Once done open the project and then presss CTRL while you start the preview and then export the complete project again.

Please let me know if then you still have the spam issue.

Hello Claudio,

I have tried nearly everything, including youre suggested solution above. ( I had no spam for about 8 hours and then start all over again).

I change the names/maps of the guestbook on the server, changed passwords etc etc.

Best solution I did:  I deleted my guestbook and insert a third-party guestbook.

Hello David,

For the Professional the procedure is the same but you need to use the file here in attachment and move it in

C:\Program Files\WebSite X5 v10 - Professional\Res
