Importing old sites  en

I had Website X5 version 7 and now have installed version 9 Compact. I am thinking of upgrading to version 10 Evolution.

Will I be able to import my old sites from version 7?

Hi John,

You definitely can't import a V7 site into Version 10, sorry. Incomedia can convert an old site to V10 for you, but only from Version 8 upwards. There may be some kind member of this forum who can convert your site to V8 - wait and see what answers you get.

Wayne is correct, V7 projects need to be made from scratch again. Higher versions can be upgraded. (by Incomedia or a user with the correct versions)

Bear in mind sometimes to upgrade from 2 or 3 more version up a lot is changed so ussally you have to check the whole project.

If the project is not very big, it can be usefull to start over again, you can than use from start the full benefits of the higer version.

If you want I can also upgrade to v10 for you from V8 if you wish.
