Basically I want my client to post her blog and check for comments herself. Is there a way she can do that without having to call me.

She can check (delete, approve) Blog posts in the admin panel from internet.

You can also use her mail adres to notify that there is a new post.

I would suggest to use V10 for this, V9 will stop working after a while.

small step by step:

page4: create Blog fill at least 1 post. set mail to the user.

page 4: create an admin user with password.

You will see a special page with Blog (or if you choosen another name that name then...) in your site map.

To create a link to the blog in your menu place a folder (new level, not new page) set an internal link in this folder with button properties to the blog

the blog page will be your website with blog behind it : yourwebsite.com/blog

the admin page will be yourwebsite.com/admin

If you set it in a seperate folder on your website you need to add that one to the link.

for instance folder 'site2' you get yourwebsite.com/site2/(blog or admin)

I upgraded the site to Evolution 10 and followed your instructions.

• I posted a Blog
• Created an ad min user
• Added a comment to the blog
• Got a message "There was a problem during the comment insertion"

I already checked all the permissions on the server and they are all set to read and write.

Please advise.

Usally this means you need to give full permission to the data folder.

Did you set a sub folder on the page for the Blog (tab 'comments' ) ?

That folder needs CHMOD 777 permission.

You can go to the admin panel there is on the top a test button. This will show you any errors.

Assigning these permission can be done by with filezilla or any other ftp program.

Let me know if you still have problems.
