Hi (Claudio maybe? :))
is there anyway to get a pop up on my homepage which ppl can close after reading? So, like a showbox that appears when you land on the page?

You can use the advertising message for this. But you need to make a picture of the text you want to show.
Then add that picture in the advertisesement section, you can set it to pop up only on the home page if you wish, and even if it pop ups only once or everytime you land on the home page.
