1, open your form object (the one you already have), click on style tab, you can change text colors, field colers etc over there

2.after you finish with setting up your form, go back to your page (step3) select your email object that you placed inside your page and at the top click on cell style, you can add collor or image over there as a background of your form.

I suggest to read your x5 manual as well to get the full picture of how you can setup these basic settings. you can download the manual from download tab inside your profile in this forum.

Regretfully, you didn't seem to understand my first question. Maybe I didn't express it very well? Please see the attached screenshot of the CoffeeCup Form Builder interface with form I created. I have overlaid questions on the screenshot and highlighted the challenge I am having with the X5 form interface.

One might ask, "If you are so comfortable with CoffeeCup's version why don't you simply create the form with that and then import the completed form into your X5 website?" The answer is that CoffeeCup creates SWF files which cannot be seen on most smartphones therefore I must create the form in HTML5.

Adrian, if you want to place the text on the left side of your field, again go back to your form, open it, go to style, choose "label" from dropdown menu, then look above, you can set that to show 1)above the field 2)inside the field 3) display on the left

all the options you need is inside style tab.

as far as bg image, you need to add that to your cell syle,

1 left click on your form object, 1 left click on cell style, see attachment

I have built the form so that it looks right but it doesn't work. It should send me a mail when anyone submits the form and also a confirmation to the person that fills out the form. Using 2 different email addresses nothing was received whatsoever.

Any ideas where I have gone wrong please?

your form looks fine to me. it probably your webhost that does not support your script.

go to step 4> data managment and change your script to low level and then upload your website again and check to see if it works now, it it didnt, change the scipt from post to get and upload and check again. normally (99%)webhost will support post script, but there is a 1% who support get script.

Yes, that is working correctly now, thanks.
I still have a problem though. The footer has gone berserk. I did upload the css and style data again but that hasn't made any difference. Any ideas please?
