New options for sending e-mails
Autore: IncomediaWhen you create a form using the E-mail Form object or you set up a shopping cart, to make sure everything works correctly you must specify how WebSite X5 e-mails, that contain user data or customer orders, are to be sent.
To define how e-mails are sent, go to Step 4 - Advanced Settings and open the Data Management window: the available options can be found in the E-mail form script type section.
With the 11.0.4.19 release, as well as the send methods based on the standard PHP "mail" function, 3 new methods have been introduced that use the PHPMailer library.
As you know, the send methods based on the standard PHP "mail" function are:
- Standard script
- Low quality server script
- Low-level script
The new methods, based on the PHPMailer library, are:
- PHPMailer
- SMTP
- Authenticated SMTP
We suggest you use the PHPMailer send method as this guarantees greater compatibility with the various configurations of servers that websites may be published on.
Contact your web provider for the parameters you need to configure e-mail sends via SMTP or Authenticated SMTP.
