          I have created a website using version 11 but have found that the email form and captcha are not working when I tested it. I have read through other questions relating to this but cannot find the answer.

I still have a website created with version 8 and all is well.

This is the message and new page that comes up after clicking the 'send' button on the live site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in D:\hshome\karenben\opuntia-company.com\res\x5engine.php on line2366

I have contacted the host and asked if could they could advise whether or not WebSite X5 mail should work correctly on their servers given the operating requirements: http://www.websitex5.com/en/system-requirements.html  and said that PHP MAIL command must be active. 

The guy said: I would like to inform you that I have enabled display_errors directive for your domain so now you may see error that your site return. "unexpected T_STATIC" error is related to the fact that you are using a version of PHP that is older than PHP 5.3. Also I have successfully sent test email message from my test PHP script. Please check it: http://opuntia-company.com/phpmail.php

I told him that its strange that the previous version of the software which I am still using for another site, the contact form works

So he replied with:Maybe previous versions of the software does not require PHP5+

Can anybody help with this?
