Old .html and .php files show in public_html & Google, but not in export to disc
Autore: Mary W.Hi!
I have version 10, my website is for the products that I sell.
I have some .html files and .php files that appear under public_html, but these are items that I sold out of and that I took my website over a year ago. However, when I get ready to "export to internet" they still appear in my public_html and if I google the title of these items, google brings up my old listing (with my old website design) and it shows a listing with photo and item description.
In order to try to correct this, I exported my entire website project to a flash drive, and then opened the project to find those files and delete them. However, none of these old .html files or .php files are in that export. I do not know why they show under public_html when I export my project to the internet, but they do not show when I export the project to the flash drive in order to try to get rid of them.
How can I delete these files? I have tried just deleting them right from public_html before exporting to internet...but they end up coming back!
Thank you in advance for help on this!
Mary
Hello Mary,
You need to remove these pages directly from your hosting space since the program cannot delete older pages you no longer use but only export and in case overwrite files with the same name. What you can do is remove all content from online and then export the complete project online so all the content online is only the necessary on.
You can use an ftp client like filezilla or the file manager on your account uder your hosting provider.
Many thanks!

Thank you very much Claudio! I will remove those files via my webhost's file manager option.
Best,
Mary
