How can I add a link to a picture used as background in Parallax effect?

I do not believe you can, in the same way you cannot lik to the background image or colour on a page.
But why would you want to when you can place a link on the background image in a cell that is text, image, etc. If this was a real need, you could create an image with only one colour set to transparent, place it in a cell as an image and give it a link.

There is no text, only picture. I found a solution and you can see it here.

Use a text box, create a transparent image with height that you want for parallax image and width of page content, and then add your parallax background picture.
