Facebook plug in problem - evolution 12
Autore: Chris D.Hi, I have a couple of websites with facebook plugins so that the most recent part of the facebook feed for those sites is displayed on the webpage. These worked fine until, quite recently, I found that the feeds do not appear in all web browsers. For example www.cottonmouth.uk has such a feed on the home page and everything looks fine in Opera 12.18, however any firefox based browsers leave out the feed and only have the green square on the right where the buttons should appear.
I have tried putting the javascript in different places on the page and have found that if the javasript header is put in twice (once in the top box AND again in the html box) then at least a clickable link appears on the left. Please advise!
TIA, Chris D
(Ps. I do have evolution 13 but it won't work on this machine which has Win 7 without SP1. I have read here that other users have a similar problem with 13 anyway - so I guess its not fixed!)

I should have pointed out that the facebook feed is in javascript whereas the buttons are in an iframe - neither works in firefox etc.
Hello Chris,
I see the facebook buttons and the feed on your website with Firefox correctly. Probably you have plugins installed on irefox which blocks them. Try to disable the plugins in firefox and then test it again.
In Windows 7 the service pack 1 is required to make Version 13 work since only the SP1 adds in windows 7 the required libraries.
Many thanks!

Thanks. Interesting that you can see things properly with Firefox. I have tried SeaMonkey, Tor Browser and Internet Explorer 8. On a different machine I have similar browsers plus K-meleon. My son has firefox, Tor and Internet Explorer 11. None of these display things correctly (only my Opera 12.18 does - other than WebX5's previewer). None of my browsers have (knowingly) had any plugins installed by me. My other computer also has mostly different software. In short, if its not a firefox/browser problem then what?
I wll be doing an upgrade to Win 7 SP1 on this machine which, for reasons not relevant here, will have to be done with a clean install :-(

Hello Chris,
I tested it also on other browsers like chrome and Internet Explorer 11 and the facebook plugins were visible.
The only thing which could not make them appear are or plugins in the browser or any software installed on the computer which blocks the social networks to appear. It could also be a firewall setting.
Many thanks!
