Can I assume that you simply loaded the V12 site up to the hosting directory (probably public_html)?

Could you create a directory and upload it there? (eg //public_directory/new) It is possible the old indexes and files did not/cannot get replaced. If we can look at the whole site newly installed it may work as required, if this is the case, you simply need to delete all the content and directories of your current site and do a fresh upload.

I assume there is no searchable content on pages 3 - 17??

Does the V11 version still exist (or can it be uploaded)?

Yes, just uploaded the whole site to the hosting directory overwriting the old one.

I am not sure i Know how to do this. Does it mean I have to make e new directory on my server and upload the whole project.

The V11 project does not exist any more. but there are backups called *.iwprj. But I dont know how to restore it.

There is only searchable content on page 1 and 2.

I have now uploaded a backup version "iwzip" to www.pinups.dk/test.

I have tried that one, but it is still the same. I am afraid this backup was to new.

I will now delete this and try with a complete fresh upload from the project to directory test.

Sorry Allan, I have been away a few days. You could create a new directory on your host and simply upload to that directory, then you can simply go to http://www.pinups.dk/TempDirectory/.

If this resolves the issue, you should be able to delete everything in your "public_html" directory and do a full upload.

I did make a comlpete new website and uploaded on http://www.pinups.dk/test I did not work. Then I deleted it and made another with just text taken from an old file. It is still there.

That did not work either. Could it have something with PHP do do, I read somewhere, that I was supposed to have PHP. I don't know what that is. So I asked my hosting company. Thery said that I have PHP 5.2, which is an old version. But they could move me to another version, they just need to know which one.

It is a little strange: If I search for a name with comma separation between first and second name, It finds a little more, but still not all.

The search engine searches for the page which contains the text you entered and then orders them according to the relevance. It won't show directly the text but all possible solutions so you can open the page which contains it.

Try Janne Lind and it will not find it. It finds it if you nnly write janne or only lind. Also try Jane Botham of which there are many, and it does not find any. Only if yoy white botham it finds some.

Try both on the test site and the main site.

It is not showing all the possible results but part of them on the page where "Janne Lind" is present. Since the page has many content it shows the first ones where all or part of it can be found but it.

Try to add on page 2 Janne Lind as content and only a few results and then test if it finds the correct page.

It should be indexed by google. I have paid some SEO experts to do this for me.

Actually the content on the page is only text and some thumbnails. And nothing is downloadable. So I don't think it will be excluded. I think they would have told me.

How do I index it on Google? I don't know very much about this.

I have tried a lot of different methods now,but nothing really works. I have now bought X13 and will start by complete new text. First I will copy the text in X12 to a wordprocessor and format it. Then I will copy it to X13.

Thats what i did resently. copied it to Word. but I also copied it to notepad and it was just as bad.

As far as I understand the search field is searching internally and has nothing to do with google unless it is a google search. Am I right?

I made two new sites on pinup.dk/test and test2 and I put Janne Lind on all pages. On test it finds only 2 names on page 2.

On test2 it finds nothing on page 1, 3, and it finds 2 on page 2, but there is only one. On page 4 ift finds one but there are two.

I tried a search in Word, and that worked perfectly.

You are right, my sites are not indexed by Google and that might be because when I copied everything to X5 v12, I think I lost all that with Google. Can I get it back somehow?

I tested on test2 and it found results on all pages which match the terms. Take in consideration this search engine is different from google. It is not looking for the specific term but for all possible solutions and on the search result pagers it shows the first ones but it tell zou on which page you can find them all.

Allan, to restore a backup:-

Using Windows Explorer, rename project.iwprj to something else (currentproject.iwprj just in case you wish to restore it?)

Copy one of your backups from the backup folder to the project folder and rename it project.iwprj

Then start wx5

This will only work if the backups you wish to use were created in the same version of WX5, so if they were created in V11 you need to use V11, you will also need all the other files and most folders in the current project directory. You can download a new install from your profile (top right of your browser) under download, to transfer to 12 or 13 you need to create an iwzip file (export the project - step 5 export)

Once submitted to google the search engine will follow your domain name, using different versions of WX5 will have no effect. Have you submitted your domain to google? It would be interesting to see what the google search engine brings up and if it is closer to your wishes.

for the google metatag go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/ and create an account and then you will receive a metatag for the verification which will look like this one:

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="random characters code" />

You need to copy it and paste it in this section on your project and then export the project online and proceed with the verification since google will try to search for this code on the website to verify you are the author.

I don't know the answer to your question, but my many websites (all with working search) are currently using php5.4

I would imagine php5.5 would be fine.
