Using existing animation without having to recreate it  en

I want to use an existing animation (logo, gif or mp4) on my website.  I understand i am forced to use, meaning to buy, WebAnimator to create a WAX5 file.  But i cannot find how it might be possible to import my animation into WebAnimator.  Of course i do not want to spend money on that software if i can only use it to recreate my animation from scratch.  If anyone knows that import into WebAnimator is possible, please let me know, and how.  Thanks.

You can use a image object for an gif or mp4, it should display also as animated if it is animated.

Hello Rene

It should not be needed to recreate your material. The only thing a WAX5 file does, is that it is a zip-fil that is simply unpacked and placed the right place.

X5 has problems with GIF's. To avoid problems you can upload your gif "manually" via FTP and then use an image that is a link ( a link to the GIF you have uploaded) Then it will function.

If you have problems with mp4 files, it could be the encoding. To be shown in X5 the mp4 file should be H264 encoded.

You can eventually convert the file.

You can also for animation use the Google Web Designer. It offers much the same as Web Animator - a bit more in fact as it has some features only Web Animator Plus has - AND it is free.

Google Web Designer produces some files you have to upload via FTP. One of the files is a html-file that is where the animation will take place. You could show this html-file in an iframe in the X5 software.

Importing an existing animation project in Web Animator is not possible - BUT - In both Web Animator and Google Web Designer, you can import videos and images and gif files for use in an animation ( Web Animato cannot import videos but WebAnimato Plus can do this )

I have an example here : http://www.energifremtiden.dk/c4d/page-119.html

You should in the start see a seagull flying. It is a gif that is animated in the project.

Hope you can use this.

Kind regards

John S.
