Gallery Effect Bugs
Autore: Melissa K.Hello again,
This is more of a bug than a question, or at the very least, I will express my opinion that, if it's a feature, it's a really weird one:
So, I have a gallery and I have a bunch of transition effects. Fading, bouncing, I went with something different for all of them.
The only thing is, I can choose the 'entrance transition', if you will [essentially the transition effect the image does when it appears on the screen], but the exit transition [by extension, it's the transition when it disappears from the screen] is a mess.
I have the previous image, for example, bouncing to the top of the page as the new image appears. Like, image #1 is bouncing away into the top of the page as image #2 is fading in.
Or image #5 is flipping away to the left as image #6 slides in, also from the left. And image #5's transition is on TOP of #6, so it looks really bizarre. And in the previous example, image #1's exit effect is behind image #2
Am I missing the part where I can customize the exit transition? Because otherwise the gallery looks terribly coded and very unprofessional looking.
Melissa, is there any chance this is online so we can look rather than guess?

Hi Chase,
Unfortunately I don't have it uploaded anywhere.
I created a random file to make sure it wasn't just my images...if you watch the gallery a few times, you'll see what I mean about the weird effects on the transitions.
I put them as random to save time, but no matter what option you choose, that's what they look like, because the exit animation is random.

It seems the file didn't attach the first time

And yet again. Seems the file is more than 1mb, so here is the link to dl the file: https://we.tl/CkxYxQwR1A
Melissa, I downloaded your sample. You are correct. There is no exit transition option.
The exit transition does not appear to be random, if you watch long enough you can convince yourself that the exit transition for the current photo (photo1) is the transition that will be used for the photo that is to appear (photo3) when the next one finishes (photo2).
I have no idea really :-)
Being able to set an exit independendantly from an entrance transition would be nice, but for me, not a deal breaker without it.
Perhaps post as an idea?

Yeah, it's definitely weird if that's the logic they used...you'd think that the idea would be to use the incoming animation of the next image [say sliding from the left] for the outcoming animation of the previous one [sliding as well, but to the right].
Honestly the idea that this should be considered as an idea to be considered rather than a bug to be fixed seems a bit puzzling. Besides, I have already posted ideas [such as an undo button] and I received no response, so I'm not sure what good that'll do me.
Thank you anyway for the explanation, and for demonstrating that it wasn't just happening on my end.
