I have set up Automatic Registration for users and have configured my database with my hosting server's information. My WebSiteX5 Control Panel reports a "PASS" for the connection to the database and table. However, any attemp to access it to register a new user throws up a "Generic Error". I have checked every setting I can see but cannot resolve this. Ideas please?

Did you create the table for the database manually, or did you let WebSite X5 create it?
WebSite X5 prefers the latter.

I am letting WebSite X5 create it, but if I examine the database directly on my server it has not created it. Yet it reports a "PASS" on the Control Centre test. Not sure what's happening here!
You need to make at least one export/upload to the server after inputting the database details in WebSite X5, before the table will be created and you will be able to see it on the server.
Also, check that you have assigned sufficient privileges to the database user.
