Uploaded Digital Goods store orders are not auto-processing HELP!
Autore: Michelle F.I have a live digital webstore see here https://antara.love/albums.html
When I order my digital item I use the shopping cart and proceed to checkout I click buy now, then my order "does not" get automatically processed. Instead the website goes to https://antara.love/cart/index.html#step4 for manual processing (see attached pic)
I have access to the Online Control Panel and my digital orders are in there waiting for manual prosessing.
I need to have automatic processing of my digital items. I have followed the steps more than 10 times layed out in -> How to sell ebooks and other digital products in your online store https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44001429270
I dont know why automatic digital processing is not working, I hope you can help??
Hello. If you are absolutely sure that you did everything as written here, then you can check your version of PHP on the hosting.I recommend 7.2 or 7.3.
What do you see in the admin area of the site? Right here:

Is it because I am using a addon domain file in cpanel file manager? I am not a computer programmer and have purcahsed website x5 pro 2020.1 for simplicity of use.

All the website x5 pro files are located in public_html/antara.love because they are not in the root public_html file could that cause a problem with mysql or php processing?
Hello Michelle,
No, that shouldn't cause any particular difficulty.
However, I notice you're using version 2020.1.4... there have been a LOT of fixes to the Shopping Cart recently, and we are now on version 2020.1.7:
https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/w5/changelog
Please follow the prompts to install the update to version 2020.1.7 when opening WebSite X5. Once you have uploaded your updated site to the server please let us know if orders now work correctly.
If you continue to have difficulty then you might want to try the 2020.1.8 BETA:

Kind regards,
Paul
Search the WebSite X5 Help Center
It's also important to ensure that your Website Address (URL) is set correctly in Step 5. The Shopping Cart won't work properly if the entry in that particular field is wrong.
I think you have it set to 'localhost' at present - it should be changed to https://antara.love/
Once changed you need to reupload the site in full to the server in Step 5.
Are you using the built-in FTP engine to upload your website, or do you use a third-party FTP client?
Hello all,
I had identified this bug with Incomedia long time ago.
Now fixed into 2020.1.6
https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/fr/w5/changelog
Nota: works ONLY with Paypal because it's hardcoded.
So this option to receive automatically the link is not useful with other payment gateways (confirmed too by Incomedia)
Enjoy !

Hello everyone,
I am not able to update Website x5 pro to 2020.1.7 even after several attemps and clean reboot. Is it possible to update another way (not with website x5 pro update feature) ??
Yes it is, Michelle... use this link:
Download WebSite X5
This will allow you to download the full setup file. You can install it over the existing version.

Hi Paul M.
Thanks for the download link I am currently downloading.
I have been using third-party FTP client "Filezilla". Will try website x5 ftp function once I have installed 2020.1.7
I am used to working with serif webplus 8 but thats outdated now. I enjoy the streight forward design of website x5 pro and the reponsive websites it builds. I really hope I can get the shopping cart digital downloads to work.
I will keep you posted.
Yes, Serif WebPlus didn't produce responsive websites.
If using FileZilla it is essential that you change the Website Address (URL) field at Step 5 > Export the website to disk from 'localhost' to your own website domain name.
Also, please be aware that certain features (such as stock updates) will not operate if you do not use the built-in FTP engine within WebSite X5.

I have updated to 2020.1.7 and updated site to the server via website x5 pro ftp. Have set Website Address (URL) in Step 5 to https://antara.love/ Still have the same problems as at the beginning of this thread ie.
When I order my digital item I use the shopping cart and proceed to checkout I click buy now, then my order "does not" get automatically processed. Instead the website goes to https://antara.love/cart/index.html#step4 for manual processing.
I am also having trouble getting email to work. Have tried both php.mailer and smtp. nothing works.
Automatic order processing will only take place after payment:
How to sell ebooks and other digital products in your online store
Payment will only happen when the customer clicks on the 'Buy Now' button in Step 4, as opposed to the 'Buy Now' button in Step 3. I agree that this is confusing, but the wording of the button in Step 3 can be changed to whatever you wish... for example, 'Continue' or 'Order'
As regards the email issue, can you try sending email using an address from your own domain (email_at_antara.love) as opposed to a hotmail one?
I'm going to ask Incomedia to comment on this, Michelle, as it does cause confusion.
Please continue to monitor the thread for their reply.

Yes, it does cause confusion.
I want my customers to click on only one buy it now button that then takes them directly to the paypal purchase page. So from https://antara.love/cart/index.html#step3 directly to PayPal. how can I make this happen?

Hi Paul M.
I have decided to integrate Vibracart into my website. Vibracart works well with responsive website. The Incomedia team might want to look at integrating something like that, for smooth digital downloads and payment.
Thank you for doing your best to help my problem with patience and expertise in these troubling COVID19 times.
I hope you and your families are doing fine. I think Incomedia is Italian based isnt it? If its true what they say on the media about the coronavirus ravages in italy they are in my thought and prayers. I am still happy to support Incomedia in the future. take care. <3
