I'm using the latest WebsiteX5 version and added a contact form containing labels as Name, email address and message space.
In the Send-tab at setup I entered the webmail address it needs the message to go to.
For some reason, no messages arrive.
Any ideas?
Our website is a very simple one, no fancy scripts, plugins, just a basic website.
Thank you in advance.

Importand is that the php version at your host is at 8.0 or higher, please check in your admin panel from your hosting company.
2nd see hat the mail adres you are using in x5 is also an adress provided by your webhost (most have blocked the mail from other providers)
3 if it still does not work use you admin panel from x5 to test several scripts.
(set / admin behind your webadress, login is in step 1 acces management)
see also the guide:

if the test show it only works with 1 specific script set this in step5 (connect parameters) -> TAB E-mail, again test this in your admin panel from x5 this is only if you use a host other then the one x5 offers.

Hello Andre,
thank you for the info.
PHP version is 8.1.
The email address is the standard mail from the webhost, so that's okay too.
The only thing I did not get to work: login in into the admin.
I'll try again today, but if it doesn't work I think the easiest and fastest way to solve everything is to make an alias in my usual mail and add a button to the site with that mail address.

Update: I got into the admin panel.
I could test the website mail in there and that worked, but the form is still not functional.
I'll have to go with the alias.
Thank you again for your reply, Andre. It's much appreciated.
check the software script you used in the admin panel for test, set that in x5;
if the test show it only works with 1 specific script set this in step5 (connect parameters) -> TAB E-mail, again test this in your admin panel from x5 this is only if you use a host other then the one x5 offers.
If this is the same check spam filters or any other filtering that might be on your pc or in the email program.

Hi Andre,
I did the setup as in the image. Sending a mail from the admin page works sometimes.
Sending it from the website does not work.
The host I'm using is one.com.
Did you try another script? try using a lower script and see if that helps.

Tried them all. Sometimes an email arrives in the webmail at one.com, sometimes an email arrives directly into my email software on my pc, most of the times nothing arrives.
It's probably my lack of knowledge and insight into these things. I'm gonna leave it at that.
Thank you for the assistance, Andre.
Hello Curt
If your emails sometimes get sent and sometimes don't, then this is most probably an issue with the server
Should you still be interested in investigating the issue, please get in touch with your hosting provider first and have them verify why these emails aren't being sent
Once they give you this information, let me know here
Thank you
Stefano

Hello Stefano,
Well, I had send a message to the provider and it seems they were having some technical issue. When I tried all the above again this morning, they had clearly solved the problem and the emails were able to go out.
So, I'm glad it is solved and is up and working.
A big thank you to Andre and to you for replying and helping out.
All my best,
Curt
