Can tabs be added in a dynamic content box?  en

Hello,

Is there a way to have different tabs to open in the dynamic content object?

At present I have a text box with a tab for each day of the week which gives a schedule. The author of the schedule would like to update rather than having to send the weekly revised schedule to me.

I have looked at the dynamic content box and it appears he could only edit text if it was just in one box.

it cannot see how I could set up Tabs for each day of the week in Dynamic Content or make the existing text box available to edit.

Thankyou in advance for any solutions, ideas or workarounds.

Hello Steve,

No i don't think this can be done, but take a look at the luxcal site.
Maybe you can use this calander it's free and you can add people to edit schedule's.

I don't know exactly where you use it for but hopefully this helps. I worked woth it many years ago, i think John is experienced in the use, but on the site itself there are good explanations on what you can do and how to use.

I would advice you to take a look at the LuxCal calendar as Andre also suggests.

If the author have a calendar that is not the LuxCal, and he still want to use "his own" calendar, then the LuxCal calendar can import events from other calendars.

Scenario:

An author uses the xx calendar. He exports events from the xx calendar to a file.

He then logs into the LuxCal calendar and choose the import function - and then you will see the events in your own LuxCal calendar.

The calendar-author can also log in to your LuxCal calendar and there online create the events.

The data in the calendar can be presented in many different views like:

Month view, week view, Matrix view and then there are different displays that is a very good presentation for showing events.

For each calendar-user a language can be set. The calendar can be set up, so the user can select on categories and sub-categories and much much more.

The calendar is easy to install, use and integrate in X5.

If you intend to test (and use) the calendar, then use the SQLite version - it is more handy to install and operate.

If you have many thousand events for every day the MySQL will be the best.

If you only have hundreds of events every day, then the SQLite will be really good.

I have a calendar with 10.000 events and it is running very smooth on a SQLite database. These 10.000 events can be searched and presented in a fragment of a second.

Using the LuxCal calendar and using the display, will give the possibility to show automatic events from present day and a number of days or months ahead. No editing is needed. Once the calendar is set up, it will present your events automatically every day - no further editing and uploadin of your X5 project is needed.
