Port Forwarding and Telnet issue  en

Autore: Rohit H.

I am using WAMP server 3.3.0.

using Windows Telnet command I see that port 80 is listening.

However when using Port Checker it shows port 80 is closed.

I have windows 10, I have enabled an inbound rule for port 80 and 443. In router I have set port forwarding too. I am using ZTE 670 router.

Is there anything I need to do to get these ports open for incoming connection. I uses website for my company and access details over the internet for my business and customers.

Kindly help,

regards

Hello Robit,

Here some different ways to check if a port is listened on your PC

1)

You can open à Ms-DOS windows by a command prompt on your window... And you can use the next command:

netstat -an and presse enter.

Go to the top of the listen to see if your port 80 is listening like below

2)

You can also test it with your browser on the PC with the loacalhot command like below to chack if the internal web is ready

3)

Another way is to use a graphical tool on your window, like TCPview

At first you click on local port to sort the list

And you will see that HTTP port is listening

If you are OK this one of this so your local web is ready.

To test it from youtside from home... Very simple

Activates your smartphone to go to Internet with 3G/4G (NOT Internal WIFI)
Open the browser on your phone and go the external IP of your router...like

http://External_Router_IP

if the port forwarding is OK normally your request will go to your local PC on the web server.

You can check with:

Logs on your router.
Logs on your website.
Use a sniffer on your local PC to see traffic form your router to your local PC.

Hope this helps

Axel

I have checked using

netstat -an

Port 80 is listening.

However from the external Moblie with 4g/ 5g it is not able to connect to router IP.

somthing is wrong with ZTE router 670   settings

If you can guide me for opening port in router for 80  and 443 that will be very helpful.

regards
