I have been paying for and using X5 for years, with only a few problems here and there. I had an issue today andwas forced to shut down my computer. I opened X5 Evo - and did an update. I then opened a website to restart my work. When I tried to open a new page for the site - I was told that this function was not avaialble and to 'upgrade to X5 pro' - surely the most basic function is to open a new page without the pro feature. I tried to copy a page and pasteit (As I have done as a timesaving measure in the past) and the same message came up again. As you can see from the screen shot. Please help me, this has never been as issue before.

Unfortunately, Incomedia has significantly reduced the range of functions in the current version.
- No shop
- Maximum 100 pages
- Maximum 100 blog posts

Wow! that is insane! What are we paying for! I deleted about 15 pages which I could have kept as the site is active. I could have just then edited them. Thanks for that.

Depending on the website, you can, for example, have archive pages etc. outsourced to make room for new pages.
The principle is the same as with multilingual websites: you create duplicates of the project and export them to subdirectories.
The homepage of the projects in the subdirectories can then be linked in the header of the main project, for example in a text object, and in this way the website can use the limit of 100 pages multiple times.
X5 Pro has a lot of very good and also great features. It does offer very good value as a web authoring tool for most people.
Unlimited sites - yup, as much as you want to create and manage.
But beware the "unlimited pages"; it is not viable - don't get caught creating a large site without using the subdirectory strategy from the very beginning, and that strategy has its own set of flaws and problems, like for search.
Hi Adam,
thank you for getting in touch.
I confirm that, unfortunately, e-commerce as well as some SEO-related features are no longer available in the Evo edition of WebSite X5. In addition to this, a limit of 100 site pages and 100 blog articles that can be inserted per project has been set. This choice was made based on some usage analysis of the Evo edition with the aim of making the two editions of the program more clearly distinct.
There are therefore two solutions:
>Do not upgrade to Evo 2024.2 and continue using 2024.1, which you can re-download from your profile and for which a backup copy of your project has been created.
>We can offer you a free upgrade to Pro. In this case, the Pro license will have the same expiration as your current Evo, and you will be free to decide, upon expiration, whether to extend it or not. The extension price of the Pro would be €99.97. If you do not extend, the program will remain active and normally usable, but you will not receive updates.
Please let me know how you prefer to proceed.
