Hi
When I add the images from a file on my computer into my "page creation" section. The same image i can add into my template and it gives me the option "enable transparency". There is however no such option when adding images into the "page creation: section. I have tried jpeg and .png and both still gives the background
Ok, thank you for explaining. You can do to different things:
Please feel free to write back if you have any more doubts.

Hi
The option 2 doesnt work. I tested this with the same image. The image imports correct when i put it in my template. No background appears. But the same image appears with background in .png. All the opacity does is to make the whole image lighter.
This is very frustrating, because a simple "enable transparency" like with the templates will work in the "page creation" section too
PNG & GIF Image formats are transparency... These inserted within an image box will show the background!!

Hi
So there is no way that one will be able to insert images without a background?
If you are talking about your template background, no it can not be transparent. The issue is not in the image you add its in your background. As Frank kindly pointed out, if you enable transparency in your image it will become see-through therefore the background will be visible.
Could you please attach a screenshot and point out exactly what background you are talking about?
Thank you!

Hi
Attached you will find the screenshot.
The image left top in the page creation shows a background, bur the same picture in the template above it, the background dont show
Yes this happens because the picture you have added has a transparent background. When you add it in your page you can adjust its background and add a color in it, but you can't in your header. Please open the picture and save it as .jpg you will then have exactly the same effect as the image you have added in your page.
Which image is correct? The image you placed in the header or the one you placed in your page grid?
If you still have problems, please attach the image and I will help.

The picture i have added to the grid is the correct one. But i dont want the white background. I want the same colour as the page background. I took that same image to the header. There is a function "enable transparency", which works wonderful. That is the effect i want im my grids 2 - no image backgrounds. How do I get the same result as what i got in my header??

Hi
I have added one of the images for you
Hi Michael,
In the header section you can "force" an image with no transparent background to pretend to be by picking the color you want to exclude from the image (white in your case I guess), such a function isn't available in the page creation section I think.
Maybe your problem is that your image has not a transparent background (.jpg or .png converted from a .jpg with white background), the only formats that supports transparent backgrounds are .png and .gif as franky pointed out, but if your image's background is white or another color you cannot have transparency even if they have .png extensions...
So.. in order to have transparency in your image in the content section you need to have an image with real transparent background and .png or .gif extension. if your image already has a white background you can try to exclude it with some program like gimp or photoshop and then use that new image.
Thank you for explaining Michael and thank you R. Richetto for giving him useful hints. Very kind of you!
Dear Michael,
please follow R.Richetto's useful suggestions and let me know if the issue is solved!
