The reserve bank if India has suggested every bank to include a 'Text to Speech' facility in a website. I have designed https://dapoliurbanbank.com/ using WX5, and serving this client since 13 years.
As per the order of RBI, must include a 'Text to Speech' facility on every page.
PLease suggest me how to do it?
Thanks with regards

Hello Mandar,
Personally I have no knowledge on this but on Internet there are many tools to transform any text in voice.

Thanks dear Axel.
Lets wait if anybody have a solution.
I think there should be at least one
.
Perhaps Google Cloud Text-to-Speech

Thanks dear Giancarlo B.
Does it works with websites designed using WX5? I heard that it needs a different website building structure. PLease let me know if you have any idea.

Hey Mandar,
But I think this question should be a very great idea on this forum to see how Icomedia understands this
So pls creat a new post like an idea ....
Take care ... often Incomedia says "Ho it's a great idea".... But nothing happens...

Cross the fingers

Axel
I would say the vast majority of the time

Dear Axel & Giancarlo B.
I'll pray god that Incomedia developers should 'read' this post and then they should develope such a great solution for visually impaired to 'read' a screen.
Hi everyone,
For your information, the latest version of Chrome includes a module (right-click, open in reading mode) that allows you to read the text of a web page. Simply highlight the text and activate the "Read" button.
I'll report this idea to Incomedia support...
Have a nice day,
J.P.
Hello Mandar,
at the moment we do not have any plans to directly integrate a text-to-speech function or plugin, but I will report this feedback.
I recommend checking out Giancarlo's suggestion or looking for other similar tools to see what could be the best fit.

Thanks Eric C.
Already a few feedbacks are been reported during last couple of years; nothing has happened unfortunately.
Lets have a one more 'unfortunate' try.

Mandar
Hello Mandar,
unfortunately it is not guaranteed for suggestions to be implemented in the software, as this depends on many factors such as the overall usefulness for a majority of users, the technical aspects, and on what is already being priotitized as it is planned for development internally, outside of Idea posts.
I remain available.
Hello Mandar,
In clear text it's "forget it"...
and find it by yourseld with an external tool.
We are already seriously used to this type of response. Too bad

Dear Axel,
Thank you for expressing the truth. I'm using WX5 for about 20 years. Initially they were very user friendly. Now they are very rigid. Really bad and sad; but fact is fact.
Now they have stopped support for Windows 7. That's why I am not able to download the latest version because it doesn't work on my PC. I am not at all ready to upgrade my PC (which is working fine since so many years). Instead of that gradually I have shifted to Wordpress and Hostinger Website Builder. Have designed & hosted numerous websites using WX5 during 20 years; so I cannot suddenly stop using it. Day by day I have stopped designing new websites using WX5. Slowly shifting existing websites to Wordpress and Hostinger Website Builder.
As I don't have an upgraded version, I cannot use it's inbuilt AI tools. But the developer team should be aware of it that there are 100s of AI tools available online. And the most of them are free of cost.
These are a few sites I designed using other sources -
https://origamischool.org/
https://sadachandra.com/
https://shahuwadi.com/
https://bhairavamachinery.com/
https://creativeedu.org/
https://friendsofearthworm.com/
I'll be for sure happy to stop using WX5; but am aware that it will take some more time.
Thanks with regards.
Happy for you and curious about your helping nature. You'll be surely blessed.

Dear Eric C. and the other dear WX5 team members, I'm sorry to say this today but found that you are becoming very rigid. Even I feel very sad about your behaviour and attitude. I have an affection with WX5 so telling you very humbly.
Kindly consider it as a very serious note.
Thanks with regards
In Germany, blind and visually impaired people use a screen reader installed on their computer.
Here you will find an English-language website with a free screen reader, including an older version for Windows 7, see this website
>> https://www.nvaccess.org/
However, I have no experience with screen readers, as neither I nor anyone in my family or relatives needs one.
Many browsers now have read-aloud features, e.g.
Microsoft Edge browser:
Keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + U
Chrome browser:
Click the three dots on the right, open "More Tools" in the list, and click on Reading Mode.
Firefox browser:
I can't see the book icon for the read-aloud function, nor does the F9 key work as an alternative, as described in the Google instructions.

Thank you dear Daniel W.
I'll suggest this to the concerned authorities. Let's wait for their reply.
