I'm just curious if it's possible to change the day names and text in the Open weather map widget through your application... Or do we have to use some custom code? The widget is great for what we need, but we'd like to change the text for 4 days to abbreviations (mon,tue...)

what language are you using, specifically?
The object should use the language of the browser to show the name of the days, even though when previewing in the internal browser, rather than, for example, Chrome, you might see either the language used for the software, or the one of your system.
This is how the object is displayed with Croatian set as the browser's language, for example.
