I have bought the Website x5 suite today, and after having downloaded it, I get an error when trying to install. It is saying that it can't store the file WSX5_ev.exe because it couldn't read the source file. It tells me to try again, and I have tried many times. How can that be fixed?
The attached file is in Norwegian

Further; I tried to download Ashampoo and got the warning I'mm attaching. It is also in Norwegian, but says that my Antivirus (Nod 32 from Eset) has discovered a possible threat or unwanted programme.
There are two options: Koble fra (disconnect from the download)
and Avslutt (Allow the download, but threats may enter your system)
If I choose the first one, the download obviously won't complete.

This attachment is saying the same as the previous one, only it appeared after another attempt to download WSX5.
I have paid for that bundle, so please fix this!
Hello Inger,
It seems like your antivirus is blocking the installation of new software downloaded from internet because it doesn't have these software on its database, I think it's matter of the configuration of Nod 32.
I can suggest you to temporarely disable the antivirus and trying again.
Please keep me updated, thank you

Hi,
I tried disabling Nod 32 and got the programs installed (WSx5 and Ashampoo to begin with), but afterwards, when I enabled the AV prog, I got warnings galore.
I then ran a virus scan, and again, and again, and attached is the threat list I got after three scannings. You can see which files and which threats, and 'rens' means 'clean' and and 'Avslutt' is 'close down'. I have tried to clean and close down three times, to no avail. The file 'download.zip' contains some downloaded programmes, among them WSx5 8.
If I open WSx5 9 and try to do some work, I have the warning again after a minute or two.
I'm now going to try installing the progs on my laptop which is protected by Norton...

I have successfully installed Wsx5 9 on my laptop (with Norton), as I said above.
I have also googled the trojan which apparently is a part of the software. Google said I should contact the software publisher and ask if they've legitimately used Crypto Obfuscator in their software - its flagging it because a lot of viruses use it - if they confirm they have 'Obfuscated ' their code then I can turn nod32 off temporarily while downloading.
Depending on your answer to this, I may try that when I get home to my desktop in a couple of days.
Hello Inger,
you can safely trust WebSite X5 because it uses the obfuscator for internal purpose. You can find other posts here on Answers about the same topic.
Hope this helps

Thanks so far. I'll try what you have advised me to do and report back. It won't be until the end of next week as I'm away working.
